The Elucidation of Islamic Mentoring to Internalize the Integrity Value of the Employee in Area III East Java of DJP

Keyword: Islamic Mentoring and Integrity Value.

The assumption of corruption done by the DJP in 2008 now grow up as a bribery case done by the employee of DJB. This fact is contradict with the integrity value which written in the corporate value of DJP. The effort of internalizing integrity value whether formal or informal held by the DJP expected to be an improvement step to keep the integrity. The informal way of internalization is Islamic mentoring that assumed as a medium to improve the integrity of the employee.

Base on the previous assumption, the researcher tries to describe the understanding (elucidation) of Islamic mentoring to internalize the value of integrity in area III’s office of East Java’s DJP.

The study is qualitative research with the descriptive approach. In this study, the researcher explores and provides the data about the understanding of Islamic mentoring to internalize the integrity in area III’s office of East Java’s DJP.

The researcher found that Islamic mentoring held in DJP office is less effective because of the lack of interrelation between the mentoring factors as an environment factor with the behavior factor. Bandura proposes that the two factors is mutually influence each other. However, the researcher found that there is less mutual relation between the two factors. This fact happened because the mentoring as an environment factor which can intervene the internalization of integrity as a behavior factor of the DJP’s employee who are involved in mentoring.

Based on the findings it can be concluded that the Islamic mentoring in DJP’s office improvements stills especially in its system and execution so that the integrity as the goal can be internalized in employee’s behavior whether in office field or in their daily life.
